From the hollow
Screenshots
Captured straight from the game.
Snow from the twentieth of December, and it stays. The paths round camp stay dark where you have walked them.
Dusk in the snow. The fire is the warm thing for a long way in every direction.
The same camp in November. The moor turns with the date, not with where you are standing.
The wardrobe: eight haircuts, six tops, four kinds of trousers and two pairs of shoes, all of it 1999.
Appearance has a tab for each part of you, from face to feet.
Locked kit is still yours to try on. The line underneath says what it would take.
Lift a stack and the bag shows you where it can go, including Eat.
The trader comes by. Whatever you're wearing, you wear it out there.
Rain at dusk. The fire holds as long as you keep feeding it.
The old station north-east of camp. The last train left a long time ago.
The same station in 3D. There's a chest on the platform worth the walk.
The marsh to the south. One clear way across; keep to it.
Out through the trees. Good wood, and a lot of trunks to lose the fire behind.
Out past the firelight after dark. Something is watching from the trees.
The camp by day, the whole clearing readable at a glance.
The same camp, one key later. Full 3D on the same voxels.
Behind the shoulder, at the zoom the game starts you on. Two more are coming.
Zoom all the way in and the sword is in your own hand.
Down to the marsh in 3D, the light starting to go.
Night falls, and the world shrinks to the circle your fire can hold.
They come out of the dark, and you go out to meet them.
In 3D you stand in the dark instead of looking down on it.
It is 1999 out here. Ten finds are scattered through the woods; press use and your wanderer stops to think.
The Found page keeps your tally across every run.
A bar and a bag. Six slots always on the bar; find a backpack and there's room behind it.
Settings, then Video. Scanlines, phosphor, flicker, and a shape that bows the picture into the glass.
Your own wanderer waits on the title screen. Follow the changelog as the hollow grows.
